This is bound to be a popular one - my latest Before Their Time column, dealing with Ang Lee's much maligned Hulk can be found here.

Thank you! I loved that movie. (It fell apart pretty badly at the end, with their choice of supervillains, but if they'd gone with Abomonation instead of Absorbing Man it would have made a lot more sense and been a whole lot more thematically consistent.) I loved the psychological exploration, the long brooding moments as the Hulk wanders the countryside, the visuals, all of it.
I've always found it weird that I seemed to be the only one. Glad that isn't entirely the case.
I'm not sure it'd be much better accepted today, yet, though. Like I said, it's very brooding, and really takes its time in places, something I think most comic movie fans aren't really expecting or ready for. I think people would welcome the intelligence of the movie, but not the pacing.
Perhaps, but have you seen Watchmen? That is one slow paced, brooding film. I liked it, as I liked the comics, but it's not exactly blockbuster material. Tonally, I don't think it's that far removed from Hulk.
