Your review made me think of The Big Kahuna, though I had a hard time putting my finger on why. But I think your comment near the end of your review drove it home: Real Time sounds like a very introspective, largely two-man play projected on the screen.
Thanks - there is a similarity in the 'smallness' of stories between these two movies, although The Big Kahuna was originally a stage play, so it had a built in staginess to it that Real Time avoided. Kahuna was almost entirely in the hotel room, while the latter travels around a bit - making things a bit more cinematic. Both good movies!
